Unilever trains 29 peer educators

Unilever Nigeria Plc, one of NIBUCAA’s member companies, trained 29 peer educators on HIV and AIDS issues between July 9 and 10, 2009 at her Corporate head office at Oregun, Lagos. The peer educators were trained on the following HIV and AIDS issues:

• Values clarification and identifying who is at risk of HIV infection
• Myths and misconception about HIV
• Basic fact about HIV and AIDS
• Communication in HIV and AIDS
• Appropriate words in HIV and AIDS communication.
• Condom negotiation and demonstration.
• Frequently Asked Questions
• Stigma and discrimination
